SUP Wilderness Adventures Gold Coast-Australia
SUP Wilderness Adventures craft jaw-dropping itineraries in exotic locations. We steer away from overly-touristy areas and get off the beaten path and away from the crowds.
Our trips are run expedition-style (meaning our itineraries are agile and fluid), so that sense of freedom that comes with independent travel is retained and you're able to make your own choices as you go.
We make a point of getting to know each person before accepting them on a trip to ensure personalities are compatible and participant goals align. This results in each team developing its own unique culture and results in new friends for like.
Although stand up paddling is a central activity on each trip, our SUPcations are tailored to those who simply want to paddle from sunrise to sunset. You'll get to explore virgin waterways and set your own agenda - be it distance, time or circumnavigation - but you must be an experienced paddler with the agility of an old-world explorer.
Those who have less paddle experience though needn't be put off, as our Adventure trips are for you! Most trips have a certified SUP instructor at-hand and we mix up activities so that you can try your hand at more than just paddling. Activities include a range of adventure sports such as stand up paddling, canyoning, caving, diving, sailing, mountain biking, hiking, snorkeling and zip lining. There's no pressure to participate in activities, but the opportunity is there for you to extend beyond your comfort zone when you're ready. These trips are perfect for single people who like to be active and give new experiences a go. You'll need a moderate level of fitness and a good sense of humour is a must.
Our Voluntourism trips are perfect for families, older people, schools, clubs and those who seek authentic cultural experiences. Apart from having a great deal of fun and seeing the best that a destination has to offer, a portion of your vacation will be spent giving back. This may involve Citizen Science projects (establishing an Octopus Garden or relocating Sea Cucumber colonies to help restore coral reefs), or social projects (such as refurbishing a Maternity Clinic or Kindy, or teaching composting and recycling practices). Many of our trips are led by aid workers, environmental or social scientists, rangers or marine biologists, who are specialists in their field, so you'll gain valuable practical experience that can help you in your career objectives. You need not have prior experience, but must have a willingness to get involved.
So if you're ready for a Bucket List adventure that takes you places, check out our SUPcations, Adventures and Voluntourism journeys of discovery, then get ready to have one heck of a ride!
