Been on my wishlist for a while (thanx to Lake Powell SUP FB page and their photo's) my wife and I finally made it to visit Lake Powell. According to some, one of the top 10 SUP locations.
Some info: We started from Antelope Boat Launch (entrance fee required for the Navajo park, $20 per car) From the boat launch you paddle heading southwest for approximately 1,5 mile to the entrance of the canyon. From there you keep paddling southbound following the canyon until the part where the water gets a bit sand colored meaning you are at the end of the water part. If you want, you can walk into the canyon to see the different shapes erosion has created during time. Awesome scenery, cool swim spots and epic photo options!
An awesome place to SUP and luckily not so many boaters, while we visited during weekdays instead of the weekend.
