've had this board for about 8 months now and love it. Being Starboard, it's not cheap but it's top quality and superlight, around 6.5kg. Having surfed short surfboards I wanted to get that feeling but without going too small that I'd rarely use it. This board does what I want. I'm 68kg at it paddles well and is fairly stable, becoming less so in choppy windy conditions. It's not a major issue though. My local surf isn't great and mainly windblown swell up to 4-5'. It handles this well, picking up waves easily and is super responsive underfoot. I can ride it down to weak 2' but with any shortboard, you get out what you put in. It loves to be turned and worked like a surfboard so don't expect to stand there without making an effort. The 2016 has just a tail pad but with a light wax the grip is great. as mentioned the finish is superb and the honeycomb fins are excellent.
Don't be put off by the size. An progressing intermediate surfer could ride this in the right conditions.
      Great Board!
